The application phase for the one-year incubator program at the Impact Hub Basel is now open. Startups selected for the program launched get free access to the co-working spaces in addition to coaching and mentoring. Registration is now open until 31 October.

The Impact Hub Basel has opened its doors, thereby joining the network of four existing Impact Hubs in Switzerland. In Basel, the team aims to create a collaborative ecosystem to foster innovation and share expertise. One way to achieve this is through a local one-year incubator program for impact-driven entrepreneurs and startups that are contributing positively to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Besides getting access to the co-working space and the Impact Hub network, selected startups will benefit from individual coaching with subject matter experts, continuous support from the mentors, access to incubator’s online startup toolbox and the Impact Hub network.

Anja Nieveler, Incubation Program Manager at Impact Hub Basel, comments: “What makes our program special is the focus on social and sustainable start-ups in the post-ideation phase. The main benefit of our program is the access to the Impact Hub community and our large pool of experts who are coaching the startups."

Eligible to participate are startups in the post-ideation stage – that is, startups with an MVP, a proof of concept or business plan. Additionally, startups that have already entered the market and are registered in the Swiss commercial register are invited to participate.

The jury will nominate the participants according to a defined criterion, which includes the founders’ ambition, market potential, innovation, and the currently reached milestones. Additionally, the selection jury will evaluate the impact of the developed product or service on the addressed problem, the society and the environment, in line with the SDGs.

Registration closes on 31. October.
