CE Incubator edition 1

The Swiss-wide initiative Circular Economy Transition has opened the call for projects for its second edition of the Circular Economy Incubator. Selected 28 early-stage projects will have the opportunity to benefit from a three-month incubation program from February to May 2020.

Last year, the Circular Economy Transition (CET) launched the first Circular Economy Incubator with the aim of supporting early-stage startups that are dedicated to developing solutions based on circular activities such as resell, reuse, repair, and refurbish. Through a three months incubation program, startups have the opportunity to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) and validate their business model supported by one-to-one mentoring sessions with experienced coaches, workshops, networking sessions, and access to the Swiss circular startup ecosystem and a pool of experts within the field of Circular Economy.

The previous cohort comprised of the sharing platforms such as sharealook, Bibou'tic, and la manivelle, and startups such as La Corde A Linge, Kompotoi and Terrabiom that are closing biological loops and bring back nutrients to the environment.

Among the startups, 60% have launched their solution and thanks to the program the startups have successfully built an MVP, secured the first clients and partnerships in other cities, raised investment, gained visibility, and have been featured as CE pioneers in largest CE event in Switzerland.

This year, the program is looking for a new cohort of startups to benefit from the program from February to May 2020. Selected startups will enrol in the incubation program in their respective city at the Impact Hubs in Bern, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. The application deadline is December 15, 2019.

The four Impact Hubs have organized an information event for everyone interested in the program: The following dates have been scheduled: Impact Hub Lausanne: November 4, Impact Hub Bern: November 5, Impact Hub Zurich: November 6, and Impact Hub Geneva: November 7.
