The fintech startup Bloomio offering an equity crowdfunding platform has received additional funds of CHF 800’000 from three existing shareholders, bringing its total capital raised to CHF 2.2 million. The funds will flow into the development of an AI system for the platform.

Since 2017, Bloomio has been following its vision of disrupting the traditional fund-raising model for startups by enabling individual investors to tap into the venture capital arena with a small ticket size. Its equity crowdfunding platform allows startup founders to raise capital by tokenizing equity and gives investors the possibility to trade startup stakes through a secure blockchain-based marketplace. Early this year, the startup launched the platform and has since continued to introduce new features.

While the platform grows, the company is also getting ready for the next big steps. Today, Bloomio announced the receipt of an additional CHF 0.8 million francs from three existing investors. The new capital brings the startups’ total funds raised to CHF 2.2 million.

Bloomio will invest the newly raised funds in the development of an AI system to assess and score fundraising companies and to enhance its technological solution further. This will allow the company to provide experienced and retail investors with a reliable, trustworthy and engaging platform to invest in startups.

“Today we not only announce an increase of capital but also an increase of trust for

Bloomio. Indeed, this new funding round has been achieved exclusively from existing shareholders, which is a clear sign of recognition for the work done so far and belief in Bloomio’s potential”, commented Max Lyadvinsky, Co-Founder and CEO of Bloomio.
