A new traineeship program allows young talents to obtain a 360° view on venture capital, corporate innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the course of one year, trainees will work for a leading venture capital firm, a disruptive startup and in the innovation unit of a industry-leading large corporation.

Venture capital firm investiere.ch has launched a triple track traineeship (“TTT”) that allows outstanding university graduates to spend four months each at its own firm, at one of its corporate partners and one of its portfolio startups.

Investiere’s portfolio comprises more than fifty of Switzerland’s most innovative startups in the areas of life sciences, ICT and industrial high-tech. The trainees will work for the portfolio company that best matches the trainees’ interests and personal development plans.

For the first batch of ambitious graduates, investiere has partnered with health insurer Sanitas and media company Tamedia. They will offer trainees a unique opportunity to develop new services and products, and assess strategic startup investments and partnerships.

Once the TTT is completed, graduates will become part of an exclusive alumni network and will be able to tap into a unique network of high-profile contacts in entrepreneurship, VC and corporate innovation throughout their career.

Throughout the program, trainees will have three different employment contracts. On all three tracks, the salary will be sufficient to cover cost of living.

Investiere is looking for candidates with academic excellency and outstanding analytical skills who demonstrated a strong interest in new technologies and who hold at least a Bachelor degree - ideally in natural sciences, engineering or economics. In addition, candidates must be fluent in English and either German or French. Foreign applicants will be considered. However, they will need to obtain a Swiss work permit for all stages of the traineeship by themselves. In practice this means that they will either need to be a Swiss or EU-27/EFTA citizen, or already have a unlimited long-term Swiss work permit.

More information can be found on the investiere website.
