Swiss Startup Day

More than 700 participants, more than 1100 one-to-one meetings – the Swiss Startup Days 2017 are breaking several records. The 57 finalists of the pitching battle have been announced. And new elements such as the Startup Night are very well received. Registration for the Swiss Startup Days is still open.

Next week the Swiss startup scene will meet in Berne. On 24 and 25 October the Swiss Startup Days will be held including the first Startup Night by ETH Entrepreneur’s Club and the traditional investor dinner. On the first day of the event startups will get insights from experts and startup champions. Ten master classes, three panel discussion and one-to-one meetings will take place. The second day will focus on startups, investors and supporters. Highlights include the keynote of Federal Chancellor Johann Schneider-Ammann and Trudy Haemmerli, Board Member of Innosuisse.

The second day will start with investors pitching to the startups followed by the pitching battle for start-ups. The lists of selected companies and pitching investors has now been published on the website of the event. This year the winner will receive valuable prizes such as 16 hours of legal consulting for free or a special presence at an international trade fair. In the afternoon hundreds of one-to-one meetings will take place followed by the first ever Musketeer award for people shaping the Swiss startup ecosystem.

“We are looking forward to an awesome event”, comments Jean Pierre Vuilleumier, Managing Director of Swiss Startup Invest. He mentions that this year international investors from the US and India will attend the event as well as representatives of Index Ventures and the German High Tech Gründerfonds. In addition he reveals that some of the new elements can be already called a success. For example 150 people registered for the first Startup Night.

Registration for the Swiss Startup Days is still open.
