After a very successful preview phase, Prodibi was officially launched this week. Now anyone can sign up and use the image solution. Prodibi helps photographers to display and share their images in full-resolution online.

Founded in Lancy in the Canton of Geneva, Prodibi specialises in image viewing solutions. The company offers photographers, professional artists and web publishers a high-quality, powerful and easy solution that enables them to showcase their images exquisitely on the web and mobile. The platform allows for faster display of high-resolution images and sharing of images worldwide.

Remarkable speed
In the successful beta phase 1’400 users from 53 countries signed up. The Prodibi platform has delivered more than 20 million photos. The speed of the platform is remarkable: The biggest image so far weights 700mb and is displayed in approximately 300 Milliseconds. A client's web page with 230 photos of 20 MB each (virtually 4.6 GB of images), was seen by 450k people, and loads in about three seconds worldwide.

Apart from the official launch of the solution, Prodibi’s CEO Olivier Hamel also announced the launch of the mobile apps preview. “The apps go much further than just Prodibi on your mobile, it means a crucial step to simplify your workflow as a photographer and a much better overall experience for everyone, from your viewers to your friends, colleagues, fans, and clients”, explains Olivier Hamel in a blog post. Early acces to the apps is available via ProductHunt

The apps will be launched in a few weeks. Apart from that the team is working on several other services. Prodibi plans the

  • Launch of a new portfolio service to build powerful websites with truly stunning pictures
  • Official launch of a WordPress plugin (already in beta, feel free to ask for it!)
  • Launch of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom plugins, for more control and simplification of the workflow
