Edtech startup banks CHF 850’000 seed capital

Together with two schools in Switzerland, Zurich based Smartest Learning AG tested its platform for interactive learning. The startup has now obtained seed capital to enhance its next product features and prepare to roll out.

Smartest Learning AG was established in 2019 to help students save time while learning in a fun and interactive manner. The smart mobile application enables students to scan their learning documents to obtain automatically generated interactive quizzes in just a few seconds. The app allows for various learning strategies such as through flashcards, multiple-choice questions, short and long tests, and enables tracking one’s progress.

Following the pilot projects with two schools in Switzerland, the startup is getting ready to roll out the solution to more schools. Besides students, the solution beneficial for different players on the education system. Teachers may use it to create Automated distributable tests, track class progress and provide tailored coaching. The solution allows schools to promote more interactive classes and boost learning autonomy while parents use it to track their children’s progress.

“The pandemic situation makes it even more important to provide teachers and students with new solutions for distance learning. Smartest allows them to use their existing study documents and create practice tests, a proven and effective way to improve learning,” as stated in the company’s announcement.

The CHF 850’000 financial boost from an angel investor and Apps with Love AG will enable the company to progress with product development and implement its growth plans. A team of five employees currently manages the company.
