Headquartered today in Morges, Pryv is a Swiss company specializing in privacy and personal data management. In the last year, the startup led by Pierre-Michael Legris has made significant progress, scaling-up its business and setting its foot in Europe and North America.

With a validated market positioning and commercial strategy, Pryv is today focused on growth. In the summer, Pryv entered the French market choosing Paris, as the location of its next office. The startup is also developing its presence in Canada, a high potential market where it just announced a new strategic distribution partner, Peel Solutions.

In terms of product enhancement and development, 2019 was a busy year. The Morges based startup focused on commitment and extending the compliance capabilities of pryv.io, adding features of crucial importance to its customers, such as providing full auditability on access to data. This allows its customers to answer strict privacy questions under GDPR and other data protection regulations, including “Who does access and process my data? When and what part of it was processed? Did I provide my explicit consent for these actions?. Currently, Pryv has more than 20 market applications with customers in eHealth, Tele Healthcare, Insurance and Life Sciences which are developing solutions for preventive-risk models, remote patient monitoring, real-world evidence clinical trials and patient support programs. Moreover, Service providers use pryv.io for launching DPO services and Health Data Hosting.

Today, Pryv employs a team of 6 in Switzerland, 2 in France and collaborates with 8 subject-matter experts on dedicated missions. Additionally, the company benefits from the active support of its investors and board of directors. So far, the startup’s business strategy based on building trusted relationships with global industry leaders like Altran and specialized product and service provider companies, like Rodanotech and BGO, has allowed it to reach out to a broader audience while keeping the internal team structure and operations lean, focused and efficient. Nevertheless, with the growth, the company plans opening new positions in Switzerland and abroad.

Speaking of the future, Pryv is set to further develop its presence in France and actively proceed investigating new European markets to penetrate, as explains Evelina Georgieva, Chief Business Development Officer. Privately funded by Business Angels and Family Offices, Pryv plans to open in 2020 the next investment round and attract strategic investors to support its growth. Among other promotional activities, this month Pryv has chosen to present its solution during Medica- the world fair for medicine in Düsseldorf, which will feature this year a number of initiatives focused on digital health innovation.
