SkAD Labs has launched its virtual product design software SkeletonCAx in its first official version. Based on a new technology, the solution speeds up the development process and needs less user expert knowledge.
SkeletonCAx is built on a breakthrough technology researched and developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). The solution enables engineers to design, simulate and optimize in a single software environment, delivering up to 50% reduction in the development process of mechanical components. According to the startup, SkeletonCAx delivers significant speed up in the development process of engineering products, while improving overall design quality, at significantly reduced user expert knowledge.

SkeletonCAx Release 1 is featuring several functionalities unseen in the engineering industry. It is a stand-alone software, running locally on Windows and Linux machines. Its underlying MAR technology does not only speed up calculations, it also allows to capture the deformed shape for evaluation and consequent operations including further simulations. SkeletonCAx provides quick and exact results on all simulation cases, may they be linear or nonlinear.
