The venture lab team is again looking for ten technology startup founders who envision themselves as global players and want to take the first step to their global expansion. Unlike the previous years, the 2017 cohort will have the opportunity to join a business development trip to Silicon Valley. Registration is now open.

On-boarding the right investors and learning about international fundraising opportunities is crucial for entrepreneurial success. For this reason, Venture lab is devoted to bringing startups across borders through ten-day intensive field-based development programs. These are tailored to help startup founders to explore, learn and seize new opportunities above all achieve their expansion goals.

For the past 16 years, Swiss national startup teams have travelled to Boston, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong to dive into the exciting entrepreneurial scene of such high level entrepreneurial hubs, helping more than 300 entrepreneurs to build their vision and achieve success. 

This year however, venture lab is taking the next venture leaders to Silicon Valley from March 27th to April 1st, 2017. Silicon Valley refers to both a geographic region, but also on the most dynamic place in the US for technology. The intense journey offers 10 selected entrepreneurs an accelerated learning curve and a solid network through their exchanges with their peers in the team. They will meet with industry leaders from the US, gain market exposure, get feedback from investors and experts, and get hands-on business development.

Intensive days in Silicon Valley
During their trip participants will explore the US and Silicon Valley's entrepreneurial scene to vive them an opportunity for personal development. They will adhere to the following program:

  • Private pitching and feedback sessions with top technology investors; 
  • Public pitching and networking events with investors and industry leaders from the Silicon Valley area;
  • Review and discussions with experts about the US market penetration, financing strategies, internationalization and more;
  • Social networking events with US startups;
  • Support for personal business development activities during the all stay;
  • Arrival in Switzerland on April 2nd, 2017.

Eligible to apply are founding and managing members of Technology based Swiss startups who are ready to grow their business in the US with international investors, and want to build a global technology startup such as Media, ICT, among others.

Startup founders who want to boost their future are hereby invited to apply to be one of the 10 members of the 2017 Swiss national startup team in Technology. Registration closes on January 10th, 2017.
