Four companies awarded the CTI Label

Four ambitious start-ups from different industries received the CTI Start-up label: Advanced Osteotomy Tools-AOT AG, Akselos SA, Ecublens, ecoRobotix Sàrl, Essert-Pittet and Fanpictor AG.

The four start-ups offer outstanding innovative products and services with the mission to foster sustainability and efficiency by applying modern technology.

Advanced Osteotomy Tools-AOT AG
AOT AG is a privately owned Swiss Robotic Surgery company dedicated to the development, manufacturing and sales of medical devices for osteotomy pursuing the vision of contact-free bone surgery using laser, robotics and navigation systems to re-invent bone surgery (osteotomy). AOT is in an advanced stage of development of a Computer Assisted, Robot-guided Laser Osteotome named CARLO, which is continuously controlled by an integrated array of sensors to ensure safe and accurate ablation.

Akselos SA, Ecublens
Akselos is the leading company in the development of component-based Reduced Basis (RB) algorithms, with a revolutionary new type of engineering simulation technology that enables multi-national engineering firms committed to operational excellence to design and assess critical infrastructure via advanced simulation software. The team focuses on making powerful, highly-customized simulation tools that can be widely used by with in various engineering disciplines such as mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, aerospace power systems as well as industrial engineering.

ecoRobotix Sàrl, Essert-Pittet
Established in 2011 by a qualified team concerned about global environment issues, the start-up gathers key competencies in machine vision, robotics and information technology to provide state of the art robotic machines suited for agriculture tasks. The company provides added value for farmers, and sustainability for their modern agriculture. The company’s objective is to become a main supplier of autonomous agriculture robotic machines in 2020, with product reputation of high reliability and ease of use.

Fanpictor AG, Zürich
Fanpictor is a smartphone service, which offers fans the possibility to design choreographies online, share them with their friends through social media and vote for them. The winning choreography will then be executed within the venue during the event. Moreover, their independent network enables smartphones within a venue to be synchronized in seconds, thereby allowing fans to create Lightshows which turn the audience in the arena into human video screens.

The Fanpictor Fanbingo technology can be embed within the users app with simple integration due to the unique plug and play solution.  This service engages fans within the venue: In the day and age of smartphones the Lightshow turns the fans/audience into a human video screens.

CTI Start-up enables creative entrepreneurs to realize their innovative business ideas quickly and professionally. Through a three-phase, firmly guided process lasting 6 to 24 months, a dedicated expert will help the venture’s project evolve sufficiently to apply for the CTI Start-up Label. The Start-up Label is a seal of quality, a certificate of achievement, and a sign of credibility and readiness for sustainable growth. It is awarded by the CTI Certification Board that is composed of seasoned entrepreneurs and experts.
