Companies selected for third Swiss Venture Day Romandie

On 20 November the Swiss Venture Day will take place for the third time in Western Switzerland. Eight entrepreneurs will pitch their start-up to investors. The selected start-ups are: Hoosh, Unono, Kireego, Esmart, ecoRobotix, Bogga Wind Power, DermoSafe and Gymetrics.

It’s again an impressive broad range of start-ups that will present at the upcoming Swiss Venture Day Romandie. ICT-, Cleantech- and Medtech-Companies have been selected. The start-ups: 

Hoosh Technology offers a marketing intelligence service that provides insight to almost any industry across any market in the world. Based on its highly advanced and qualitative Visibility Score Hoosh provides unique on-the-fly insights about online advertising performance, competitors, market position, and eventually marketing budgets - at a fraction of the price of traditional marketing intelligence.

Unono is a social network for students to be in touch with life on campus. For Higher Education Institutions, Unono is a Content Management System that turns universities into social hubs. The vision is to create the leading online academic community that brings together all universities worldwide into a unique network.

Kireego offers a simple, innovative way for a merchant to connect with another merchant to start sharing customers (without sharing databases), acquiring new ones, and cross-promoting products and services – all this, in one simple solution. One of the strongest features allows larger companies to be present on the Kireego Platform in order to connect with local merchants and allow those merchants to create Exclusive Offers for the company's employees.

eSMART: Reducing energy consumption lies at the heart of eSMART. The service allows electricity, water and heating consumption to be analysed at a glance. The connected devices can be managed via smartphone or tablet. This way customers can keep tabs on their energy consumption and costs.

ecoRobotix’s mission is to design, produce and commercialize innovative machines for agriculture based on autonomous robotic technologies, featuring a lower general impact on the environment than current equipment. The concept is to design lightweight autonomous robots being able to perform basic operations on the cultures, and working during long periods of time.

Bogga Wind Power develops innovative megawatt range wind turbines with a vertical axis designed to control costs (turbine, logistics, installation, maintenance) on complex sites. The goal is to bring to wind farm developers a low-cost wind turbine solution to unlock profitability of sites with difficult access or turbulent wind resources.

DermoSafe aims to bring innovative products and services for the early detection of melanoma and management. The system of the start-up consists of three elements: DermoClic - easy dermoscopic image capturing by non-specialists, DermoView – a highly secured and interactive web application and DermoConnect - reliable image analysis made by a specialist in digital dermoscopy.

Gymetrics is a lifescience tools and diagnostics company that focuses on single-use measurement systems for cell culture. Its solutions offer robust, miniaturized, disposable sensors that are operated wirelessly in any cell culture environment, from the incubator to large bioreactors and downstream platforms. The company is currently developing unique tools, using patent pending technology for cell culture monitoring, starting with pH and t° mini-bioreactors before adding additional parameters and formats.
