Nissan'’s “Zen to Z” Web Campaign uses SublimeVideo, a web video player developed by the Swiss Start-up Jilion. And this shall be only the beginning. Today Jilion announced its plans for further growth.

Nissan just launched their “Zen to Z” web campaign for the new sports car Nissan 370Z. Car manufacturers have traditionally relied heavily on Flash to implement and deliver big web campaigns such as this. Nissan’s new campaign instead is built entirely with HTML5 and makes significant use of video. Nissan relies on SublimeVideo to deliver their video message.

SublimeVideo is a product launched by Jilion, a start-up based in Lausanne, in autumn 2010. The biggest advantage of the player is the universal compliancy of videos no matter the browser. Videos will work in any browser and play seamlessly across every mobile platform.

For this compliancy no maintenance is necessary. SublimeVideo is a cloud-based service platform that automatically provides all its customers with the latest and most widely compatible version of SublimeVideo Player. “With the ever growing variety of browsers and devices out there, this is a truly beautiful approach: If we receive bug reports we often ask our users to simply reload their page to show them the problem has been fixed! It never ceases to amaze them, and us!” says Zeno Crivelli, co-founder of Jilion.

Jilion announced today its plan to exploit the full potential of SublimeVideo. The start-up is launching a free and unlimited version alongside enhanced paid plans and a universal real-time stats platform.

The new, Free and unlimited plan makes SublimeVideo Player easily and instantly accessible to anyone looking to add a state-of-the-art HTML5 Video player to their site. “With Adobe’s recent decision to stop development of Mobile Flash and fully embrace HTML5, the demand for a universal video player that ‘just works’ on any platform has never been greater. Moreover, it was always our ambition to help the Web move forwards by offering web publishers a quick and easy way to switch to HTML5 Video. For these reasons, we feel that now is the right time to unleash our player’s potential by offering a free version of SublimeVideo to everyone.” Said co-founder Mehdi Aminian.

Additionally customers can now take advantage of new, upgraded paid plans, benefiting from a far larger number of video views than before, Real-Time Statistics and increased data retention compared to the free plan, SSL Encryption and dedicated support. The company also announced that it will offer custom solutions to meet the specific requirements of its enterprise-class customers.
