SEED Biosciences – SLAS2022 New Product Award, US
DispenCell, an automated laboratory instrument developed by Swiss start-up SEED Bioscience, paves the way to personalised medicine by empowering scientists to isolate single cells more efficiently and reliably. It quickly integrates a lab routine in a plug-and-play approach and operates equally under sterile conditions in a culture hood or on a simple benchtop. The product has won the New Product Award held at the SLAS2022 International Conference and Exhibition in Boston and online. The award recognises three companies showcasing new commercially available products within 90 days pre- and post-conference.

Visense – NVIDIA, US
Based in Canton Schaffhausen, VISENSE has been accepted into NVIDIA’s Inception Program, a free and one of the world’s largest start-up programs designed to help start-ups evolve faster. It provides access to cutting-edge technology and NVIDIA experts, connections with venture capitalists, and co-marketing support to heighten its visibility. The Industrial IoT start-up will benefit from the offer while enhancing its smart error diagnosis solution. The platform gives industrial manufacturing companies real-time visual insights into industrial machine errors, allowing them to identify and resolve incidents quickly and precisely.

MobyFly – Expo 2025/Jetro Osaka, Japan
Valais start-up MobyFly designing and delivering fast, efficient, zero-emission hydrofoil boats that will change waterborne travel forever, won a prize in the Hack Osaka competition, which pre-selects innovative ideas for the World Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan. The Expo 2025/Jetro Osaka Award helps open doors for MobyFly to build relationships and partner with leading Japanese companies to bring Swiss innovation to the Kansai Region and the World Expo 2025.

Swiss Vault – Catalyst Accelerator, US
Swiss Vault is among the eight selected start-ups joining the Catalyst Accelerator program focused on Hybrid Data Movement. Powered by the Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV), the program promotes technology advancement for the warfighter and guide technology transfer for the government to industry and vice versa. Swiss Vault, based in Basel with offices in Princeton, New Jersey, has re-imagined the data storage platform with innovative Software & Hardware. The small form-factor and easy to use design can be utilised from Edge networks to massive scale up data centers, and the platform is 10X more energy efficient than existing data servers. Data also has a significant environmental impact due to the short lifespan of equipment and resulting electronic waste. Swiss Vault systems are long-lasting, modular, durable, and purposely built for the Circular Economy.

SNAQ – Cigna diabetes innovation challenge, US
Cigna identified SNAQ as a transformational solution for diabetes care, and selected it as one of the winners of their diabetes innovation challenge.
