Two supporters, one event: Startup INVEST and SICTIC join forces

Startup INVEST and the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC) teamed up to organise the first joint Investor and Venture Day scheduled to take place virtually on 12 May. The event features ten startups that will pitch to the audience as well as engage in 1:1 meetings.

Every year Startup INVEST organises sevarel Venture Days accross the country providing startups with a platform to showcase their innovation in the pitching sessions and to enrich their contacts through 1:1 meeting and networking sessions. Likewise, SICTIC organises Investor Days as a match-making event where tech startups pitch to find experienced investors and supporters.

This year, for the first time, the two players in the Swiss startup scene have jointly organised the "Joint Investor and Venture Day". The event will take place on 12 May online. For this event, the organising committee has selected ten startups that will pitch to the audience and engage in 1:1 meetings.

The selected startups are

Agrinorm – develops an AI-powered solution for grading and predicting fresh produce quality to reduce food waste, operational costs and improve margins for growers, wholesalers, and retailers.

Animatico  combines stylized characters with artificial intelligence and voice control, creating a seamless way of interacting with digital devices. 

BLP Digital – leverages Artificial Intelligence to automate information extraction from semi-structured documents (e.g. invoices, delivery notes). 

CLEMAP offers hardware and software solutions to energy and metering providers, in order to support the digital transformation of their services and improve customer engagement.

GeneLook – empowers patients to utilize DNA info in their healthcare journey by offering a mobile solution that allows for easy access/understanding of genetic profiles as well as secure sharing of data with healthcare stakeholders.

Gilytics – offers interactive software for designing worldwide linear infrastructures like power lines, underground cables, pipelines, rail, roads, etc... powered by an optimization engine that leverages smart algorithms which help plan projects faster and in a more socially acceptable way using 3D visuals. 

Healios – is developing digital biomarkers and treatment personalization in multiple sclerosis. The company has successfully completed a pre-seed round in Q3 2019 and secured a high profile partnership with Basel university hospital and Basel-based global pharma company. 

Mithras Technology – The human body constantly releases energy in the form of heat. And can, therefore, be used as a source of energy to meet the local demand for everyday electronic devices. Mithras will bring to the market the first cost-efficient technology able to exploit this form of decentralized energy generation.

ShadeMe – is developing a novel shading device to automatically adjust shading to the optimal position offering comfortable daylight. Modern buildings with large windows where occupants suffer from discomfort glare from the sun and overheating will benefit from the solution.

Sustema – its behavioural analytics SaaS enables corporate insurers to analyse publicly available data of over 17,000 listed companies, providing a consistent and objective client behavioural analysis that enhances existing underwriting processes to deliver improved portfolio performance.
