F10 Demo Day

Last week 12 startups pitched at the F10 Demo day, the final milestone of the six month accelerator program. The deadline for the next batch is already close. Start-ups at the Demo Day praised the mentors of the program and the network to the F10 corporate members.

In six months at F10, young companies often make enormous progress. They learn to run a business from scratch including doing market research to solve actual problems of the finance sector, working out a unique selling proposition which distinguishes companies from competitors, finding the ideal team structure, draft business plans and develop investment strategies. On the way, the innovative entrepreneurs were encouraged and supported by FinTech experts from leading institutions to develop their Prototype to a market-ready Product and innovate finance. The program contains hard milestones to maintain a high-quality standard. Out of 15 companies that were selected for the batch only 12 pitched at the Demo Day and 9 graduated.

Four of the 9 start-ups are from Switzerland: advAIsor (software to capture corporate culture characteristics), Ex indiciis (Netflix-like recommender system for financial institutions), PXL Vision (secure identity verification via smartphone) and the corporate start-up Jacob (platform for regulatory know-how). The founders at the event praised the mentors and the access to F10 corporate members during the acceleration program. Most of the start-ups are now collaborating with partners and plan to come up with more news soon.

New: API and test data for start-ups
Speaking of news: At the event Andreas Iten, Co-Founder and Member of the Board of F10 announced that the next start-ups of the next batch will benefit from a developer portal with PSD2 API sandbox providing the start-ups with API and test data. In addition, Iten mentioned that two new corporate members will join F10.

Applications for the next batch of the P2 “Prototype to Product” program are being accepted until 2nd of June 2019. The Startup Acceleration Program is tailored for international teams with first Prototypes in FinTech, RegTech or InsurTech. F10 guides and supports the start-ups on their journey to successful companies.
