Two support programs of BaselArea.Swiss are open for applications; the DayOne Accelerator program and the i4Challenge. The DayOne program is offering teams with digital health solutions for children and young people a six-month acceleration program and non-dilutive funding of up to CHF 50,000. The i4Challenge for companies active in the field of Industry 4.0 is also open for application.

Innovative ideas that aim to improve the well-being and health of children and young people now can make a huge impact. BaselArea.Swiss is offering a six-month acceleration program to support ventures, healthcare innovators, startups as well as intrapreneurs that are developing solutions aimed to improve the health of children and young people.

Sought for are, new approaches that combine digital technologies, expertise in the health sector and entrepreneurship. Eligible to apply are start-ups as well as existing and newly established companies. The program is also open to applications from companies in developing countries. The registration deadline expires on 26 July.

The DayOne Accelerator consists of two phases: In the first phase, a jury and physicians from the University Children’s Hospital Basel will select 15 promising projects that will be introduced to the audience during DayOne conference on 9 September 2019. The panel will nominate four projects that will proceed to the second phase to benefit from a six-month program starting in January 2020. In addition to the financing of up to CHF 50,000, the projects teams will receive coaching and office space, access to patients, experts, customers and other interest groups in the local ecosystem.

Win a stand at the BE 4.0 trade fair
The second funding program that is awaiting applications is the i4Challenge, which is aimed at young entrepreneurs, SMEs and university projects devoted to Industry 4.0. The program offers a platform and a network for driving forward digital solutions in production technology. The winner will receive a stand at the BE 4.0 trade fair in Mulhouse in November 2019. The registration deadline is 30 June.
