Enuu LEV sharing service

Today a sharing service with three light electric vehicles starts at the EPFL Campus. ENUU, the start-up behind the pilot test, is already preparing a bigger test in the city of Biel / Bienne. A crowdfunding campaign to finance the test has reached its goal.

ENUU has developed a new Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) sharing service that redefines urban mobility. LEVs combine advantages of bikes and cars. On the one hand no driving licence is necessary, LEVs are allowed to use bike lanes, take up little space and have a small ecological footprint. On the other hand they offer place for luggage and the driver is protected from bad weather.

Today ENUU, a start-up based in the Innovation Park Biel / Bienne, and EPFL Sustainable Campus are launching the first self-service vehicle pilot project. Three ENUU electric vehicles will be on EPFL campus and can be used free of charge and without a driving licence.

The next step for the start-up will be a bigger pilot test in its hometown. ENUU is planning to start a free floating sharing service after the summer break. A fleet of 60 LEVs will available before the end of the year. A crowdfunding campaign to finance the test has reached its goal.

ENUU has developed the sharing service including an app for the users. The vehicles are manufactured by a partner. The sharing service is based on a freemium model. Additional revenue will be generated with advertisement on the vehicles an in the app.
