Generali Innovation Garage

The insurance company is now hosting four new startups in its premises in Adliswil, Zurich. The startups, Billte, Riskifier, Shift Cryptosecurity and Enterprise Bot who will continue to develop their products at their new offices speak already of first tangible results.

With its 600m2 innovation garage, Generali aims to provide a conducive environment where startups can work to new concepts, solutions and products and realise them at speed whilst promoting cross-disciplinary thinking.

Last spring, four new startups set up their office space and are now well acquainted to their new environment. These include,

ShiftCrypto Security – the flagship product of Shift is BitBox, a hardware wallet and second factor authenticator that acts as a digital vault. BitBox provides the highest level of “cold storage” protection for blockchain-based cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and ERC20 tokens. To date, the company has sold over 10’000 BitBoxes in over 100 countries.

“We are now closer to Generali and its network. During the opening event, for instance, we were able to meet potential corporate partners with whom we can launch a proof of concept. We are currently talking to some of them”, said Arnold Sternberg, CEO of Shift.

Riskifier – the regtech startup is offering MiFID II investor risk profiling with behavioural and social insights. The solution enables financial institutions to determine each individual investor’s personality and approach towards investing to provide them with investment products tailored to them with the aim of minimising risk. Riskifier has successfully completed a proof of concept with a banking software company, which gives them a green light for the next steps.

“Being at the innovation garage brings us closer to potential customers and partners”, said Gino Wirthensohn, Co-founder and CEO of Riskifier about the Generali initiative.

Billte – the startup is developing an automated billing system for companies and consumers. The solution allows users to send invoices digitally, deliver them to customers via email and track payments. Invoices can be paid directly via email using a wide range of payment methods.

Enterprise Bot – headquartered in London, the startup is developing AI-powered chatbots to automate customer interactions and provide companies with a readily accessible digital agent that improves the customer experience and reduces operational costs by up to 40%. Enterprise Bot met Generali through its participation in the F10 accelerator program.
