The swissnex SF Startup Camp is a three to four-week program designed to support Swiss startups to explore and discover the potential of their solutions in the US market. The camp brings together start-ups in the Innosuisse coaching program and winners of EPFL XGrants. For the first time additional startups can take part at their own expense.
Swissnex San Francisco (SF) is part of the global swissnex Network for international collaboration. Its mission is to connect people and ideas from Switzerland and the San Francisco Bay Area to foster exchange in research, education, innovation, and the arts. With its Startup Camps the organisation helps helps Swiss startups to gain a foothold in Silicon Valley.
Twice a year, the swissnex SF Startup Camp brings together startups from EPFL XGrant and Innosuisse Market Entry Camp. In addition, swissnex SF is offering startups that are neither part of the EPFL XGrant nor the Innosuisse coaching program, for the first time the opportunity to join the camps at their own cost.
The camp introduces the startups to the local network, and provides tools, techniques, training, and workspace to facilitate their development. The three to four week programme includes learning sessions, fireside chats with successful entrepreneurs, sessions with experts who share knowledge in US law, fundraising, marketing, growth, pitching, strategy and more, as well as demo days.
Seven XGrant startups will be selected to join the swissnex Startup Camp in San Francisco. Similarly, startups within Innosuisse coaching program are invited to register to participate. Three startups will be selected and each receives CHF 3000 or CHF 6000 additional scholarship. The cost for startups participating at their own expense will be between $5000 and $8000.
Selected startups will be invited to attend the upcoming 3-week Startup Camp in San Francisco from July 30 – August 17 2018. Registration is now open until June 30, 2018.
