Registration for the IOT / M2M Innovation World Cup is now open

The IOT / M2M Innovation World Cup 2016/17 has started into its 5th round. Selected finalists will have the chance to present their ideas at the award ceremony and the winners will be endowed with prizes worth over $160,000. Registration closes on 11th November 2016.

The IOT / M2M Innovation World Cup with its sponsors Telit Wireless Solutions, MediaTek Labs, VARTA Microbattery and Gemalto, is organing the 5th round of the IOT/ M2M Innovation World Cup 2016/2017. The competion acts as the catalyst for future innovations connecting innovative entrepreneurs, developer communities and industry partners. Last year almost 400 solutions from 70 countries were submitted and now registration for the IOT / M2M Innovation World Cup 2016/17 has been officially opened.

Participation exposes candidates to several opportunities, including, becoming innovator of the year and accelerate their business with the help of the Innovation World Cup network. They will also get in contact with the organisers’ platinum, gold and silver partners and will gain publicity from regional and media partners; moreover, they will take advantage of free development kits from partners; gemalto and Telit (see here for more details).

The competition seeks innovative IoT / M2M technologies that will be utilized and commercialized in the market. All solutions will be evaluated by an international panel of experts based on the criteria; degree of innovation, business potential and go-to-market approach. Selected finalist will have the opportunity to present their innovative idea at the award ceremony next year before the audience of experts. A winner per category will be selected to win prizes worth $160,000 and marketing support by partner companies and the organizer.

Until 11 November 2016 individuals have the opportunity to submit their innovative solution in the area of Internet of Things and Machine-to-Machine Communications, which encompass the categories; “Smart City”, “Automotive”, “Industrial”, “Smart Building and Home Automation”, “Healthcare”, “Transport, Logistics & Surveillance” and a special “Security Award” powered by gemalto.
