The ETH spin-off Adresta creates digital twins for high-end watches to make the market more secure. By joining the Microsoft for Startups program, the company will leverage Microsoft’s commercial marketplaces, enterprise sales team, and partner ecosystem to reach key customers.

Based in Zurich, Adresta is on the mission to change the way people experience luxury using blockchain technology. Starting with the watch industry, the company is building a digital twin for luxury watches providing all information about an item to allow for proving authenticity in the secondary market. Through Adresta’s web application platform, manufacturers and retailers can now create, store and issue digital certificates securely, communicate with watch owners and integrate additional solutions from ecosystem partners. The startup is currently working with brands and partners, such as Czapek & Cie and Helvetia Insurance Group.

To further enhance its platform, Adresta has joined the Microsoft for Startups program to scale its solution securely on the Azure Cloud. The startup will work with mentors during the program while it leverages Microsoft’s commercial marketplaces, enterprise sales team, and partner ecosystem to reach key customers. “Having Microsoft’s support is extremely valuable for us. This cooperation helps us to enhance our go-to-market strategy and joint-selling opportunities to onboard new players from the luxury industry. Being part of the program also allows us to collaborate with Microsoft’s experts to advance our competencies in Blockchain Technology and Machine Learning,” says Mathew Chittazhathu, CEO of Adresta.

“We are happy to support Adresta on their journey to improve security, transparency, and trustworthiness in the luxury industry,” says Tim Moser, Project Manager of Microsoft for Startups Switzerland.
