“Startup MATCHER” is the name of the newly launched platform by Startup INVEST, designed to facilitate virtual meetings between startups and investors, corporates as well as supporting organisation. With more 1200 participants the platform is now open for new participants.

This year's annual Startup Days is scheduled to take place in October. Prior to the event, Startup INVEST has launched the beta version of its Startup MATCHER platform to support startups in the current pandemic crisis by enabling them to book virtual 1:1-meetings with investors, corporates and support organisation. The platform is based on the Startup INVEST's matchmaking platform, used by thousands of participants attending their events during the past years.

The free of charge virtual match-making is up and running and in high demand. The platform started with around 1000 profiles which were important from Startup INVEST's event platform. After a few hours later 250 people registered in addition. At the moment Startup MATCHER counts more than 1200 participants including 370 investors, 300 corporates, 450 supporters and 100 start-ups.

Participants should update profiles
Start-ups, investors, supporters and representatives of corporates who have attended one of the previous Startup INVEST events already have a profile on the platform which they can access  simply by logging-in. Also, these groups should now edit their profile to have it up to date. Start-up profiles will only be shown on Startup MATCHER after the start-up have activated it.

With Startup MATCHER, all participants can discover profiles and request virtual meetings. Upon acceptance, meetings will take place at the time agreed between the parties right in the platform built-in conferencing system. Furthermore, startups can upload their pitch desk and indicate their funding needs. Investors state their investment conditions, such as stage, size of investment and type of startup they are looking for. Corporates specify their collaboration needs and offer, for example, a pilot project. Support organizations list all their services to startups, such as accelerator programs, tax experts, lawyers.

“For over a year we have been working on ways to put our platform at the service of the startup ecosystem 24/7, all year round. This effort is now being released with the launch of Startup MATCHER",  says Daniel Bermejo, the co-managing director of Startup INVEST.
