SWISSTRAFFIC offers a new method of road traffic analysis with a reliability/price ratio that is unique on the market, thanks to the intelligent acoustics technology developed by the Geneva startup Securaxis.

SWISSTRAFFIC and Securaxis have signed a partnership to offer Swiss cities an innovative solution for counting and categorising road traffic. The combination of acoustics, artificial intelligence, and edge-computing now makes it possible to achieve operational efficiency at very competitive costs.

The Swiss start-up Securaxis has developed a unique technology: With artificial intelligence, it is possible to analyze traffic based on acoustics and to differentiate between the different classes of vehicles. Thanks to the edge-computing obtained, the sensor provides real-time data, and is particularly interesting for communities that don't want to place cameras in public spaces.

SWISSTRAFFIC will support Securaxis in the further development of this unique technology. The aim of the future development of the acoustic sensor is the recognition of electric bicycles and electric cars.

This new sensor fits perfectly into the range of SWISSTRAFFIC products and services. It extends its offer with an ideal tool that can be easily and efficiently deployed as a complement to existing solutions or on secondary road networks. SWISSTRAFFIC, founded in 1999, is an international planning and consulting company with offices all over Switzerland.

The new technologies help cities to improve the quality and performance of their urban services while reducing their operational costs. Mobility is at the heart of cities' concerns. Accurate traffic statistics on the entire road network of a city enable better traffic management, in particular to reduce journey times and waiting times, and to reduce pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions accordingly.

For Securaxis, this partnership is a recognition and validation of the technology developed over the past year in its laboratories. The collaboration facilitates its entry and acceptance in the Swiss traffic management market.
