Four Swiss startups among world’s top innovators

The announcement of the most innovative start-ups worldwide originate from competitions and programs from the United States, the Middle East and Europe.

Sevensense – Top 4 Warehouse Navigation & Positioning Startups
Innovation Analysts working on the Global Startup Heat Map analysed 77 of the emerging technologies and up-and-coming start-ups that are developing solutions for the logistics sector. Among the Top 4 nominated innovators is Sevensense. The Zurich based startup offers automation solutions for mobile robots. The startup uses artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, and sensors to map the environment and help robots localise and navigate in the dynamic indoor environment. Advanced motion sensors additionally prevent collisions with both static and dynamic obstacles. With such features, the Swiss startup addresses some of the issues of Autonomous mobile robots (AMR) which are now a common feature in warehouses and transport materials and goods. It is, therefore, essential to deliver solutions that facilitate navigation without collisions.

Nexthink, Vivatech Top 100 Scale-Ups in Europe
Viva Technology, Europe’s leading startup and tech event published its list of the 100 most promising scaleups in Europe (including Israel), comprising high-potential companies that have the potential of becoming unicorns in the near future, with a valuation of €1 billion or more. The Swiss startup Nexthink made it to the ranks. The Lausanne based startup helps IT companies to meet the needs of the modern digital workplace by offering them with real-time analytics, automation and employee feedback across all endpoints to allow for employee experience management. Besides reaching $100million in sales, the startup has grown its team from 376 employees in 2019 to more than 545 this year.

Kokoro Lingua, Gess Education Award
Inspired by the latest discoveries in neuroscience, Kokoro Lingua offers tools for peer-to-peer learning, providing children of ages 3-8 years with a new experience in foreign language learning. Developed by children for children, the online platform gives subscribers access to 10-minute videos in which for the first time, a child shares his or her mother tongue with another child in a fun and exciting discipline. This approach of language learning has been recognised and awarded with a Gold Medal at the Lépine International 2018 Competition and recognised as a finalist in the BETT award in London (2019). The recently received Gess Education Award in the category (Picture above), adds to Kokoro Lingua’s compilation of awards. The Gess Award recognises and rewards the quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people as well as the best educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession.

eSmart Technologies, «30 Fabulous Companies of the Year 2020»
The Silicon Review, an American trade magazine for business and technology professionals has revealed the "30 Fabulous Companies of the Year 2020", a list of the best companies selected worldwide. eSmart, developer of a smart home intelligent system for automation, is one of the winners. The system manages a wide range of building functions such as heating, lighting, electricity or videophone systems allowing users to control, monitor, and keep on track their energy consumption even when they are out of their homes.
