SwissPropTech has launched the «Future Living Contest 2019» in search for creative technology startups for the real estate industry. The winner will have the opportunity to work on their project with the real estate developer Losinger Marazzi. Registration closes on 5 April.

The global population is anticipated to grow to up to 9.8 billion people by 2050. With this comes a high influx of city migrations resulting in high urbanization rates. Congestion, pollution, high energy consumption, increasing prices, resource scarcity, and demographic disparities are only a few of the challenges the new trend brings. While these issues have opened up discussions across industries, they have also brought several opportunities. The real estate industry is, for instance, rethinking their business models and developing new solutions by exploiting existing technologies.

To seize this opportunity and support the development of new solutions to address the challenges of future living, SwissPropTech, independent innovation network that supports property technology companies to grow their businesses, has launched the competition «Future Living Contest 2019». The award aims to award and recognize startups that are developing innovative concepts, products or technology for the real estate industry.

The selection team and the jury of industry experts will assess and identify the top five finalists to participate in the final pitch day on May 16. Three winners will receive prizes: the first winner will have the opportunity to work on a pilot project in Switzerland with Losinger Marazzi, a Swiss Real Estate Developer and General Contractor focused on the development of urban districts and smart cities. The second and third winners will receive a cash prize of CHF 4000 and CHF 2000 respectively.

The registration deadline closes on 5 April 2019.
