Five startups proceed to the Prix Strategis finale

The selection committee of Prix Strategies has nominated five startups from Medtech, Fintech, Hightech, Biotech, Foodtech and digital to compete in the final round. The contestants will present their companies at the award ceremony to win CHF 50’000. 

The Award ceremony of the 26th edition of Prix Strategis will take place on 1stMay. The award jury has identified five outstanding companies that will proceed to the final round. The startups’ solutions have demonstrated a high degree of innovativeness, high quality of business development and the scalability. The following startups include; 

Loanboox (ZH) – The Fintech startup offers a peer-to-peer market platform to bring together public sector borrowers and institutional investors. Through the platform the startup makes the process of borrowing and lending simple, transparent, safe and low cost, benefiting both parties. Currently, over 1000 requests of worth CHF 16 million have been submitted on the platform, of which CHF 7 million have closed. Early this year, the startup completed a CHF 22 million series B financing round to grow its platform. 

Nomoko (ZH) – developed a 3D software and Nomoko camera with a resolution of 1,500 megapixel for creating photorealistic 3D models that are indistinguishable from reality with the naked eye. The solution is applicable in automotive, smart cities and in City-wide AR/VR applications.

Parquery (ZH) – The ETH Zurich spinoff developed a smart parking solution that leverages its in-house computer vision and deep learning algorithms technology. This allows for image data analysis from any installed camera to provide real-time results to customers. The solution is currently available in 20 countries worldwide.  

Peripal – the ETH spinoff developed a medical technology device to enable patients to perform dialysis at home safely and more easily. The device has received approval allowing the company to introduce the product on the European market. 

Rovenso – the EPFL startup is developing autonomous agile robots for security monitoring in challenging and harsh environments. The startup is running pilot projects with paying customers in China and Switzerland, respectively in the field of firefighting and security surveillance.

During the award ceremony, the five nominated startups will present their ideas in front of the jury. The winning startup will be crowned with the title “Prix Strategis Best Swiss Start-Up”.
