A special award for iotech Swiss from IOT/WT Innovation World Cup

The special award «Security Award» of the IOT/WT Innovation World Cup was bestowed on the Swiss startup, iotech swiss. The Bern startup developed, Colibri the first plug ‘n’ play AI based solution that makes flying safer.

The award ceremony of the IOT/WT innovation World Cup 2018 with participants from all over the world was held last week in Barcelona. Following the pitches from 32 finalists, a winner from each of the six categories: City, Retail, Home & Lifestyle, Healthcare, Industrial and Transportwere identified. Two more special prizes: TheLoRaWAN Challenge powered by LoRa AllianceandGemalto’s Security Award were passed on to the best startups.

Gemalto’s Security Award was bestowed on the Swiss startup iotech swiss from Bern. Established in November 2017, Iotech swiss provides of IoT products and services both hardware and software solutions for IoT, aerospace and drone industry.

Every day, around the world many pilots and passengers enjoy flying. But occasionally, pilots can experience sudden control loss, or reach very quickly unwanted operational conditions that can have fatal consequences.

The startup’s solution, Colibri is the first plug’n’play AI based solution created to save pilots and passengers’ life, and improve flight quality. Colibri helps by identifying, analysing and predicting in advance conditions that lead to accidents. Pilots are notified before it is too late. Furthermore, Colibri provides cloud services for pilots, instructors, students and flight schools a platform to get accurate flight analysis and support training.

The next edition of the Innovation World Cup has already launched. Startups with innovative solutions are invited to submit their applications from now on.
