Bee Invested is an online investing platform entirely dedicated to Swiss startups. The public beta platform was launched last week. Two startups are currently pitching on Bee Invested.

Crowdfunding is growing strongly these days. Several platforms are already active in Switzerland. With Bee Invested a new platform focused on equity crowdfunding has just launched its beta phase. The concept is simple, rather than relying on a small circle of investors, crowdfunding, thanks to internet and the social networks, allows making a capital call to a very large community of investors. The key strategy of Bee Invested is lowering the investment tickets to CHF 1000. Swiss startups become an asset class accessible to mainstream investors who can now build a portfolio of 10 promising Swiss startups for only CHF 10K.

Start-ups have to pass a pre-selection and can afterwards present their project in an Elevator Pitch to the Bee Invested Community called the Hive. “Involving the Bee Invested community is highly important for our platform success”, explained Ilham Hikmi, CEO Bee Invested, to Startupticker. The members of the Hive can vote for the projects which are deemed interesting. It is also the opportunity for the Hive members to express any potential intention of investment. Bee Invested will not invest itself. “Neutrality is our core value, Bee Invested do not invest in the startups referenced on the platform”, Hikmi explains.

If a start-up was preselected and if the pitch was successful the start-up draws up an investment proposal in cooperation with the Bee Invested team and prepares a project page which has to be validated by Bee Invested. Afterwards the crowdfunding campaign can start.

Bee Invested has launched its public beta platform last week. Ilham Hikmi: “We are in pre-screening phase. Two startups are currently pitching on Bee Invested and others are on the way. Our investors are currently selecting the most promising projects through a voting process. The first Investment campaign is expected within 60 days.”
