Perils of Man by IF Games and FIRST STRIKE by Blindflug were launched recently. The ambitious debut titles of the two studios have attracted a great deal of attention.

FIRST STRIKE is a real-time nuclear strategy simulation featuring snappy gameplay and an intuitive interface that makes dropping “the big one” easy. Users can pick one of the big nuclear players – from known Superpowers to an upstart hellraiser like North Korea – and plan their strategy wisely: Limited but clever options let them as the leader of their superpower steer their nation’s fate: Players can expand to other countries, build bombs or debuild in order to restructure their arsenal. Or they can use research to widen their options, such as: Ability to act quicker and build bigger bombs, better recon on their enemies’ actions, automated self-defense-sequences and many more. A quick and fun game with beautiful graphics, FIRST STRIKE shows the players how little it takes to heat things up.
First Strike is nominated for "Best Upcoming Game" at the 10th International Mobile Game Awards (IMGA).

FIRST STRIKE was developed by Blindflug Studios from Zurich. Blindflug is a newly founded indie game studio from the game team of the creative agency Feinheit. First Strike is the official launch title for the company and was based around this idea: beautiful to look at, custom made for the plattform and a lot of fun, while playing with a topic, that is still relevant and frightening.

Perils of Man is a 3D adventure game centered around a teenage girl named Ana Eberling, who is thrown into a hidden world of time-travel, global catastrophe and personal triumph when she uncovers a lost technology with the potential to eliminate all the uncertainties of life. Ana rapidly finds herself in over her head, navigating a series of predicaments that are dangerous, bizarre, and sometimes both at once. For this game the developer’s goal was to appeal to a younger audience of casual gamers who seek high-end 3D visuals and challenging gameplay.

Perils of man is the debut title of IF Games founded by the former boutiq animation team. IF Games co‐founder Nathan Ornick contracted ex‐LucasArts game designer Bill Tiller, who has collaborated on a range of hit adventure games such as The Dig, The Curse of Monkey Island and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. “From the start, we decided to work with Bill Tiller, who eventually became the mentor of this insanely ambitious project and our dedicated team of key contributors that includes Gene Mocsy (additional Game Design) and Dave Neale (Art Director),” Ornick explains.
