A new internship matchmaking program pairs business and law students with selected startups. Interested students have until 30 June to apply for the first call.

Although the interest in start-ups has increased it is not yet a matter of course that a job at a start-up is a good career option after graduation. Internships can help to change this, as they allow students to immerse into the world of innovative companies without betting everything on one card. Venturelab's new program is designed to promote entrepreneurship and at the same time open up a new talent pool for companies.

"Internships are a great way to foster an entrepreneurial spirit while also greatly supporting startups. Our objective is to multiply the amount of internships, in particular for female business and law students”, explains Jordi Montserrat, Managing partner of Venturelab. “By matching Swiss deeptech startups with such profiles, we support them in finding complementary team members in order to increase their chances of success. On the other hand, by matching interested students with startups, we help them feel the groove and develop the skills for an entrepreneurial career”, he continues.

The first internships will take place over the summer. Students can still apply for this program until June 30. After a review of the application, Venturelab will provide the candidates with access to the job board, where they can see all open internship positions and get in touch with their favorite startups.

25 companies from all over Switzerland and from different industries are already taking part including Largo Films, Skypull, Clemedi or Daphne Technogy.

The program will be continued after the first edition with the summer internships.
