Swiss start-up WeGaw, former WeHike, just announced a strategic partnership with SBB-CFF-FFS. All bookings done in WeGaw with your SwissPass card will have 10% discount. The start-up active in the tourism sector is set for a busy summer.

Swiss start-up WeGaw has just achieved an important milestone. The company building technology for better outdoor experiences has just announced a strategic partnership with the Swiss railways SBB-CFF-FFS.

WeGaw, started with WeHike as the first Social Outdoors Marketplace in Switzerland in 2016. After successfully operating in 2016-2017, with more than 77 hikes logged and 950+ bookings created in the platform, WeGaw now aims at becoming the reference platform for joining any outdoor adventures online with other outdoors lovers, search for amazing outdoors experiences like yoga hikings, landscape photography courses or adventurous walk on glaciers and via ferratas. 

“With the partnership with SBB-CFF-FFS the swisspass login is just the beginning, we want to give to our users the possibility of booking outdoors experiences, accommodations, hospitality services, and transport in a click” says Ion Padilla, WeGaw’s CEO.

Basically, all bookings done in WeGaw with your SwissPass card will have 10% discount. The integration with SBB-CFF-FFS will be further developed in the next weeks to take full advantage of the coming summer vacations. In parallel the startup is building ambitious satellite technology to help the whole Outdoors Destination ecosystem manage terrain conditions and provide safer outdoors experiences to visitors.
