Yesterday Dacuda has started a crowdfunding campaign for its first own product – the world’s smallest wireless scanner. Today the Swiss start-up has already generated more than USD60’000.

PocketScan, Dacuda’s new wireless scanner, provides a user-friendly experience that enables users to scan any format up to A3 fit, scanning items that don’t fit into a regular scanner. By simply moving PocketScan across a document, the content is assembled in real-time and transformed into editable text, tables or images.

From June 16 through July 16, 2014 Dacuda is running a crowdfunding campaign for PocketScan on Kickstarter to raise the funds required to finalize the last steps and start the production run of PocketScan. Everyone can pledge their support by backing the project with as little as $5 and help the vision of the world’s smallest and smartest scanner become reality. For the early backers Dacuda offers the Early Bird product for only $79 instead of the anticipated retail price of $149.

Dacuda’s offer is compelling: Ten hours after the start of the campaign the Swiss start-up has reached its goal of USD50’000. At the moment 589 backers have committed more than USD62’000 in total. And there are still 29 days left for generating more money.
