In its recent newsletter routeRANK, a provider of an innovative software solution for travel planning, announced several good news. The company were awarded several prizes and started a new collaboration.

In April routeRANK won the Zurich Climate Prize in the Mobility category. The award recognizes sustainable projects from categories Residential and Consumption as well. The expert jury selected our Total Trip Management because, unlike other solutions, the various means of transport are combined in a comprehensive view. The jury also recognized the transparency in regards to CO2 emissions of business travel.

At the International Transport Forum in Leipzig in May, routeRANK was named a semi-finalist for the 2013 Transport Achievement Award. The award focused on and recognized this year initiatives or products that through innovative pricing and funding arrangements addresses one or more of today’s transport focal issues – quality infrastructure or service, congestion, safety, environmental protection, enhanced accessibility.

Last week routeRANK received the 2nd prize in the Smart Mobility Supplier Award by Smart Mobility Management at their Brussels Forum. According to the judges, routeRANK’s "Multi-criteria and multi-technology approach to more efficient, more supportive and less damaging ways of working and travelling is both impressive and inspiring".

In addition the company from Lausanne announced a new collaboration. Short's Travel and routeRANK have integrated a total trip management functionality with the Short's Travel ”Bookit” booking tool. The partnership with the US company marks a first in integrating the unfiltered door-to-door information with a corporate booking tool.

routeRANK provides a software solution for travel planning. Unlike other solutions that consider only one means of transport at a time, routeRANK addresses the entire travel route by integrating rail, road and air connections. In a single search, routeRANK's patent-pending technology finds and ranks the best possible travel routes, allowing users to sort them according to their priorities such as price, travel time and CO2 emissions.
