Following the receipt of the CSC Safety Approval Certification, logistics startup Aeler Technologies is permitted to use its containers to ship cargo around the world. Aeler’s digitally enabled shipping containers is one of the most advanced containers to have been certified for several decades.

Aeler is developing digitally enabled shipping containers. Built out of composite materials, Aeler’s intermodal containers come factory-fitted with advanced Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to track the condition of goods and their security throughout the freight. The goal is to improve transportation efficiency by increasing payloads while safeguarding cargo and significantly reducing the environmental impact of transportation.

The startup has recently obtained the CSC Safety Approval Certification as the most efficient, sustainable, intelligent container. The certification is awarded to containers that are eligible to transport goods worldwide.

“We started the application process for this certification after our establishment in 2018 because of the strict certification requirements we had to comply with,” says Naik Londono, CEO and co-founder of Aeler. “Receiving this milestone is a great achievement for our company because of two reasons; our containers can now ship cargo around the world and it supports our claims and is the proof for the industry that next-generation, very robust containers are a reality”, he adds.

This is the most advanced container to have been certified for several decades as elucidated by Londono. The startup is now set to launch demonstration shipments with live cargo.
