Last year, Joulia, a startup developing a heat exchanger for shower drains and trays, became the first Swiss winner of the Creative Business Cup. The competition organisers are now looking for new business ideas. Registration closes on 19th August.
Creative Business Cup is an international competition in which participating countries/partners scout for new and original business ideas in the creative industry. The competition is designed to motivate, train and develop the entrepreneurs of tomorrow by strengthening their business skills and developing their ability to create a company based on their creative abilities.
Every year, National Partners around the world host national Creative Business Cup competitions. In the second phase, national winners from around the world gather to compete against each other in the finals in Copenhagen, Denmark during the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The first winner will receive EUR 7,000 and two months of free office space at any ALLEY – A curated community for Creators. The second and third winner received EUR 3500 and 1500 respectively.
On behalf of Creative Business Cup Switzerland, the Creative Hub is looking for ideas for the upcoming competition. Eligible to apply are individuals or teams with an idea with strong market potential and at least one person having an education or background from the creative industries. Selected entrepreneurs will gather on 23 August for the finals Switzerland where they will pitch to the jury. The most outstanding team will participate the global competition and finale in Copenhagen.
