Ava simplifies women's daily life

Ava, a Zurich based medtech company has developed a fertile tracker that enables women trying to conceive to track their fertile days. Ava tracks nine physiological parameters in order to accurately detect the fertile window for the current cycle in real-time. 

After the successful completion of their year-long clinical study at the University Hospital of Zurich under the lead of Prof. Dr. Brigitte Leeners, an expert on the mathematical modelling of menstrual cycles, Ava has officially launched the Ava bracelet on the market.

The Ava bracelet not only detects an average of 5.3 fertile days per cycle with 89 percent accuracy as reported in the clinical stuy, it has a wide range of other functions – It measures pulse rate, breathing rate, HRV, sleep duration and sleep phases, movement, skin temperature, heat loss, perfusion, and bio-impedance to provide insight about ovulation, cycle length, fertile and non-fertile days, resting pulse rate, physiological stress, and sleep quantity and quality. A combination of all these functions delivers accurate results of when the optimum days to conceive approach. Users are advised to wear the ovulation tracking bracelet during the night to accurately predict the fertile window. “Ava makes the journey to conceiving better, more convenient, and more magical for couples everywhere”, says Lea Von Bidder co-founder of Ava.

Lea von Bidder, President of Ava Science, reports that so far two batches from the pre-orders have been sold out and more orders are being placed. The company is also already shipping to its customers. Currently, the fertility tracker is available on avawomen.com. Upon purchase, the Ava bracelet must be connected to the Ava App for iOS to automatically collect all data points. The Android App will be released soon.
