Sophia Genetics expands its European presence through partnerships with leading Spanish genetic labs.

Sophia Genetics, a European leader in Data-Driven Medicine (DDM), has announced three new partnerships with leading Spanish genetic laboratories: Bioarray, Cialab and Genetadi. The partnerships will speed up adoption of DNA Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), thus improving patient care and diagnosis.

The new partners, says Sophia Genetics, will enable it to provide a superior analytical performance solution, diagnose patients faster and more accurately using advanced technology to decode the genetic make-up of some common cancers and inherited conditions. In addition, the Spanish partners will adopt the NGS technology in clinical routine more quickly.

Sophia DDM platform uses sophisticated machine learning and algorithms to give clinicians an accurate, speedy and cost-effective means of genomic analysis. It is currently the only solution on the European market that provides full ISO certification and clinical compliance with EU data privacy laws.

The company’s strengthened Spanish presence will drive growth and sustain the strategic objective of 100 clients by end of year. The new partnerships, including a partnership in Greece with BioAnalytica GenoType SA, mean that 67 institutions and laboratories in 14 European countries now use Sophia Genetics’ technology.
