Largo’s AI-based tool helps directors, authors and producers to find the best ingredients for a successful film recipe and predictes the potential income that the film can generate at each stage of its development. Today already hundreds of feature films in production are using Largo.ai.

Although cinemas were closed in many countries due to the pandemic and very few new films were launched, the film world did not come to a complete standstill last year. On the one hand, business continued on the online platforms. On the other hand, the industry apparently continued to evolve behind the scenes.

The Lausanne start-up Largo.ai can celebrate a successful year 2020. It has successfully entered the market. today hundreds of feature films in production are using Largo.ai. The total budget of those films are far above 1 Billion dollars. The company doubled the team in its Swiss office by welcoming 5 new team members and preserved the exponential growth with many important deals.

The powerful software Largo.ai (for Artificial Intelligence) developed by Largo is able to analyse a film project partially or totally thanks to its analysis of cognitive patterns. The tool converts these into a high level representation called “film recipe”.  Based on this conversion, Largo.ai draws the priority schemes to be implemented in order to improve all or just parts of the script, from the choice of actors to the rewriting of certain scenes, the unfolding of certain scenes, etc. All this to find the best ingredients for a successful film recipe. And the tool goes even further by predicting the potential income that the film can generate at each stage of its development, with an accuracy of around 70% to 80% – compared to 50% without the tool.
