Amaris, a management and Information Technologies consulting firm, was created in Geneva in 2007. In 2013 the Group has crossed the symbolic threshold of 1,000 employees. And the growth story continues: The company took over the Thales SAP subsidiary in Italy.

Thales Italia is one of Italy’s premium system integrators in the SAP sector, which counts well in excess of a hundred of SAP projects successfully carried out with the most important Italian and International companies.

Through the acquisition of the Thales SAP subsidiary, Amaris strengthens its existing SAP competence centre and reinforces its expertise, client base and portfolio of offers.

The Thales SAP subsidiary’s solutions will broaden Amaris current scope of intervention and better address the ongoing SAP technology trend issues of Amaris’s clients throughout the world.

This acquisition also strengthens Amaris’ positioning in Italy which now counts more than 140 projects in 3 implantations spread between Rome, Milan and Turin.

Commenting on the acquisition, Federico Corsi and Alberto Giordano, Managing Directors of Amaris, said “A host of reputable international companies from the manufacturing and automotive sectors as well as finance, bank chemicals, industries, utilities and transportation have relied on the expertise of the Thales SAP subsidiary. This subsidiary is a high added-value to our portfolio of activities worldwide and to our global SAP division, bringing complementary expertise and client relationships to Amaris”.

Davide Serranò, former Thales Business Unit Manager and today Director of the Amaris SAP subsidiary, added: “We are delighted to be joining Amaris. While using our expertise and experience, we now have the power to grow faster thanks to the expertise of an International player in the consulting world. We will work on an ongoing increased range of projects. We look forward to this new challenge and to bringing added value to Amaris’s clients throughout the SAP market.”
