After 4 years of development, Mirrakoi launches its first product to the market. The goal is to make 3D product design intuitive and faster to use and learn. For the launch, the Swiss start-up teamed up with a well-known CAD software developer.

XirusCAD, the brand-new 3D digital modeling technology developed by Mirrakoi enables product- and industrial designers as well as architects and engineers to design complex surfaces much faster and more intuitively than with currently available technology. This month, Mirrakoi - an EPFL spin-off - has launched sales of XirusCAD.

Over the last months, 700 users from across all different product design industries tested the beta version. “Besides stability fixes, the testing phase mainly served to smoothen the design workflow to provide a compelling design and UX experience,” explains Mirrakoi’s founder & CEO, Daniel Schmitter.

Partnership with a well-known 3D CAD software company
Mirrakoi’s first product has been developed to run inside ‘Rhino3D’, which is a well known high-end 3D CAD software used for product design. “This collaboration allowed us to make our product available to a large user base. Thanks to the resulting visibility in the market we have already managed to set-up important partnerships to set the foundations for the next steps”, comments Daniel Schmitter.

XirusCAD can be directly downloaded through mirrakoi.com. Rhino promotes the product through all their official marketing channels as well as through their value-added reseller network. The product can be purchased with lifetime or SaaS licenses and is free for educational institutions and students. Right now, Mirrakoi is already working on the second generation of software based on their XirusCAD technology.
