The Impact Hub Geneva Summerpreneurship brings early stage social enterprises and organisations together with talented interns for a summer internship from June to August 2016.

Summerpreneurship Geneva is an innovative education program organised by Impact Hub Geneva in collaboration with Impact Hub Zurich. The program will take place in Geneva and in Zurich.

One of the first elements of the program is the HR Workshop, which offers a lean and effective HR training in which participants will learn the HR legal aspects of hiring including:

  • employment contracts (permanent positions, projects based collaboration internships)

  • work permits

  • social insurances (AVS, accident insurance, pension fund)

  • minimum wages

  • compensation models

  • work certificates

At the end of the session there will be time to ask individual questions. This workshop is open for everyone but tailored for startups interested in the Summerpreneurship program.

In addition to the HR workshop, startups will have the opportunity to benefit from the Impact Hub services including; getting broadcasted and gaining visibility for their start-up through the availed program channels, access to a large pool of pre-selected talented students and find a top-notch intern, access to the network of Impact Hub Geneva and acquiring guidance through the entire hiring process. All project management, the search and the pre-selection is done by Impact Hub Geneva.

Likewise, during the 8-12 weeks internship, entrepreneurs will receive valuable support they require to drive their ventures. Interns will also get an insight into the startup scene.

This program is organised for early stage, impact-driven start-ups looking for young talents as summer interns to assign responsibility right from the start, integrate them into thir core management processes and dedicate enough time for a close mentoring.

„The Summerpreneurship program was great for our young start-up Wildbiene+Partner. We found Pere, a highly motivated and skilled student, who took responsibility and helped us grow. He behaved like a real entrepreneur! Thanks to the integrated educational sessions of the program, we’ve learned a lot about what is important for successful recruitment and could immediately put it into practice.” Tom Strobl , Co-Founder of Wildbiene+Partner, participated as entrepreneur in the 2014 edition in Summerpreneurship.

Application deadline for start-ups is February 26, 2016
