Startup Weekends are 54-hour events for developing business models with interdisciplinary teams. The next events will take place in Lausanne (starting 20 February), Biel (20 March) and Lucerne (27 March).

Startup Weekend is a global network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams and communities. It centers around events where teams together with coaches work on business ideas. A new website provides more information about the programme and upcoming Startup Weekends around the world.

Startup Weekends are a very good starting point for everyone with a business idea. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, the events culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical or design backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurials.

The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. Whether you are looking for feedback on an idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute, Startup Weekends are the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup. Roughly 80% of participants plan on continuing working with their team or startup after the weekend.

Three Startup Weekends will take place in Switzerland in the coming weeks:

Lausanne, 20 to 22 February, only a few places left!

Biel, 20 to 22 March

Lucerne, 27 to 29 March, early bird tickets are available until 27 February.
