Bilan presents 50 start-ups looking for funding

05.02.2015 15:30

For the third time Bilan presents 50 promising Swiss start-ups looking for funding. The selection gives a good overview of ambitious Swiss start-ups from different industries. The magazine with the full list is available on the newsstands.

Bilan’s list with 50 start-ups is an interesting read for potential business angels and investors as well as for people interested in innovative companies in general. 50 short articles are describing the start-ups, their business and their technology. The list includes very well-known young companies looking for funding for a spin-off (InSphero), companies that have already won awards or closed seed funding rounds (Glass2energy, IRewind, GreenTEG) and several newcomers (Esperare, XSensio). It’s also remarkable that the jury selected companies from very different industries. There are of course companies active in growth markets such as internet or medtech. In addition other industries are represented very well. A good example is cleantech. Around ten companies made it to the list.

Especially interesting are those companies that get recommendations from the members of the jury. Eight start-ups are recommended by more than one jury member. These start-ups are:

Bestmile, Cleantech,

Geosatis, ICT,

IRewind, ICT,

Flyability, Electronics,

Gymetrics, Medtech,

OneDropDiagnostics, Medtech,

Esperare, Biotech,

InSphero, Biotech,

50 startups were chosen out of 97 preselected by the editors of Bilan and partners (Venturelab, CleantechAlps, AlpICT and BioAlps), Members of the jury that selected the 50 startups are Raphaël Domjan, "green adventurer", Laurent Farinelli, CEO Fasteris, Dominik Grolimund, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Silp, Carlos Moreira, CEO WISeKey, Abir Oreibi, President Lift and Fabrice Delaye, journalist at Bilan). In addition to the selection every member of the jury has chosen his personal favourite companies.

The magazine with the full list is available on the newsstands.
