The Lorange Network provides its members with a platform to foster continuous learning and networking, as well as to access to investment opportunities. Since the launch in late 2017, the platform has grown from 200 members to 3000, supported by a group of more than 70 experts. Its Deal Wall has equally developed with 36 co-investment offers. Startups, including Swiss Stimit received funding.

Lorange Network, is a digital education-oriented platform designed to facilitate continuous learning, networking and stimulate dialogue among family business owners, entrepreneurial families and larger private investors. It was founded by the serial entrepreneur, investor, former business management professor and executive education champion, Peter Lorange (Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Lorange Network) and former long-time President of IMD in Lausanne.

Since its launch, the network now counts over 3000 members mostly from Europe, US and Asia. Additionally, 70+ academic and business leaders, including Guy Spier (investor), Magne Orgland (Norga Capital), Johan Andresen (Norwegian industrialist and investor) and Peter Brabeck (former chairman and CEO of-Nestlé), enhance the network with their inspiration and expertise.

All year events
One of the network’s core activities is to organise workshops and events for its members to enrich their knowledge on topics such as growth, business development, strategy, funding and investment as well as value creation. This year alone the network has organised over 17 events including webinars, workshops, investor get-togethers, roundtables, and occasional special presentations. Due to the current pandemic, the organisers held the entire program virtually.

“Before the Covid-19 crisis hit, we used to run between 6-10 physical events per year, in larger event, roundtable, and fireside chat formats. We have now gone fully digital and will continue to offer primarily online activities with some hybrid formats”, said Peter Lorange, Founder, Chairman & CEO at Lorange Network.

Regular co-investment opportunities available
In addition to workshops, the network developed a Deal Wall where its members can post projects they are investing in which need additional co-investors. To date, they have posted 36 co-investment opportunities, allowing members to learn about new sectors and markets. Startups that are benefiting from this offering include Swiss-based companies such as Stimit, Qaveman, CodeCheck, NaturaYuva, Athena Wisdom Institute, Beyond Animal, DFS, AM Real Estate & Education, Talislife, A-Beauty and dizmo. The Deal Wall also features companies from Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg, USA, UK, Germany, among others. Companies that have obtained funding are Stimit, reebate, A-Beauty, RF Ocean, Modern Car Group, 2 Homes, Novelty Food, Top Camp, Ravyn, Leneo, Antler, Icon Capital and MPC.

Ready for 2021
Among its future plans, the Lorange Network will continue to build on the ongoing success of its webinars, and will also introduce more podcasts with businesspeople sharing concrete experiences as the experts and panellists. The network also plans to grow its community to include members from Pacific Asia, Africa and Latin America. Upcoming events will be listed on the network’s platform and the Startupticker Calendar.
