Three Swiss companies participating in the upcoming virtual CES trade show have won the CES Innovation Awards for their outstanding solutions. Imverse secured the title ‘Best of Innovation’ while Typewise and U-blox are Honorees.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s leading trade fair for consumer technology products will, for the first time, take place virtually from 11-14 January 2021. Ahead of the event, a jury of industry experts for the CES Innovation Awards has nominated and awarded the most innovative companies with the outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across different categories.

Three Swiss companies and their solutions are among the winners.

Live3D by Imverse –  Best of Innovation, category streaming
Imverse Live3D is a patented voxel-rendering engine and software that allows real-time capturing, editing and streaming Live 3D Holograms of multiple people simultaneously. The technology applies to Telepresence, Remote Collaboration, Teleconferencing, Gaming, Telehealth, Online Education, Live Entertainment and more. Imverse won the CES2021 award in the Streaming Category ahead of Samsung and Shenzhen Maono.

Typewise keyboard – Honoree, category Software & Mobile Apps
With its next-generation keyboard, Typewise boosts productivity and safeguards privacy on smartphones. The app’s honeycomb layout is designed for two-thumb typing and reduces frustrating typos by 80 percent. The keyboard’s AI supports more than 40 languages and enables the user to type in multiple languages simultaneously without switching keyboards. Typewise guarantees full privacy as all user data stays on the device.

SARA-R5 by U-blox – Honoree, category Cybersecurity & Personal Privacy
Developed by U-blox, SARA-R5 Modules with IoT Security-as-a-Service makes it extremely simple to protect data, both on the device and during the transmission of data from the device to the cloud. The company implements an end-to-end concept where data are protected from the device to the end-user and are neither visible by the intermediate nodes/platforms nor by the service provider. Its out-of-the-box, simple, secure, and cost-effective onboarding process to leading cloud IoT platforms speeds up development, shortening time-to-market. IoT Security-as-a-Service is specifically optimized for low power wide area (LPWA) deployments that use resource-constrained IoT devices.
