Deepframe AR

End November took place the launch of VAIVA in Geneva. On this special occasion, the startup had the opportunity to showcase the DeepFrame Technology, a next generation mixed reality solution that impressed the audience. As a partner of Realfiction, the danish company who created DeepFrame, VAIVA will be applying innovative technology solutions into branding and marketing.

Brands are constantly looking for new ways to showcase their products and services and engage their audience into communication. DeepFrame is the latest innovation in the world of Social Mixed Reality that is giving this opportunity to brands not only by grabbing customers’ attention but engaging them into communication, explains Yelena Ganshof, Creative Director at VAIVA.

A special demonstration of DeepFrame took place on November 28th in Geneva, at the launch event of VAIVA. The swiss startup applies innovative technology solutions into branding and marketing. During the event, the guests were impressed by multidimensional capacities watching various episodes of animated short videos, products launch campaigns, speakers’ presentations. All of a sudden, the room was filled with a Mercedes car moving, a Rolex watch rotating, dinosaur running, Lego toys playing, space station and plane flying!

“The quality of the rendering was really impressive, how vivid the screen was”, said Florian Pariset from Spooklight studio in Geneva in his interview at the event. “Augmented or mixed reality experience is nice but it gets much better when it can be shared because then you don’t have the feeling you are the only crazy person seeing something… when you have a device like this one to share the experience, it bring the whole experience to another level”.

“DeepFrame is like a big transparent space telescope where you can look through: on the screen you see a simple movie, but the DeepFrame makes it living”, said Christian Joseph from Holo-Systems, Germany. Projecting on a DeepFrame is easy: simply connect to a smart phone, laptop or tablet with USB, HDMI, VGA cable to the optical screen and play your content.  Some guests had an opportunity to connect their devices and play their own content on DeepFrame.

Numerous applications

The most recent installation of DeepFrame took place at Lego’s flagship store, Lichtenstein’s National Museum, numerous expositions, events, summits shopping malls. Basically, DeepFrame can bring to life any content to showcase products and services in the most outstanding way. The capacity to project 3D graphics in a “pinch-expand” figure touch mode is ideal for displaying technical items of high precision such as fine watchmaker pieces, jewellery, detailed parts of engineering, automotive industry, medical devices and many more.  DeepFrame can storytell for your brand a high definition video content, multidimensional graphics, and even broadcast a live speaker from any point in the world into your room.

Contacted by Startupticker.ch, Yelena Ganshof explains that VAIVA has a partnership agreement with Realfiction for their displays including DeepFrame and Hologram boxes. This enables the Geneva startup to sell the hardware and create content for the displays, a full service from storyboard to content creation and implementation into the device.
