Fintech Awards

Preparation for the Swiss Fintech Award Night is underway. The selection committee has announced five startups for each of the category, Early stage and Growth stage start-ups of the Year. They will pitch before the audience.

The event brings together players in the Swiss Fintech ecosystem with international players with the goal of strengthening the regional fintech ecosystem. One way of achieving this goal is through discovery of new ideas and solutions developed by startups. As such, the Swiss fintech Award was launched specifically to serve this purpose and recognise and award the most outstanding Swiss startups and influencers.

The next Swiss fintech Award Night will take place on March 15th 2018 at the Dolder Grand. Within the framework of the event, the jury and the audience will recognise the most outstanding Swiss fintech start-ups. Two category awards each with five startups will be awarded by the jury: Early stage startups pf the year and Growth stage startups of the year.

Swiss FinTech Awards recognise outstanding Swiss based fintech start-ups and influencers. Also next year, two start-up categories will be awarded: Early Stage Start-up of the Year – for fintech start-ups that are either below two years of age or have fewer than CHF 2.5 million in funding, and Growth Stage Start-up of the Year – for start-ups either older than two years or having more than CHF 2.5 million in funding.

The early stage start-up of the year will win at CHF32’000. As the organizers are still speaking to potential new sponsors the amount might increase. In addition the finalists have the opportunity to participate in a speed dating event with all jury members and members of the awards supporters club and will participate in Accenture’s boot camp scheduled to take place in the middle of January 2018 and will be invited to pitch to the audience at the Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum.
