PIA Corporation acquires a minority stake in the DAIMANI Group in the course of a growth financing round. The newly injected capital will be used to facilitate the further geographical as well as operational growth of DAIMANI.

DAIMANI is the first global marketplace for VIP hospitality packages, connecting official event providers with corporates and individuals. Tokyo-based PIA corporation agreed to make a minority investment in DAIMANI. According to a report on Marketscreener, PIA will invest around CHF1.6 million and will held 5% stake in the Swiss start-up.

Although both companies are active in the entertainment ticketing market, the companies’ operations overlap only slightly due to DAIMANI’s focus on the VIP and hospitality sector. Together with the existing shareholders, PIA Corporation will accompany the further expansion plans of DAIMANI. In addition to the capital investment in DAIMANI, the companies agreed to establish a joint venture to further deepen their business relationship and mutually benefit from a strategic partnership in Japan. The purpose of the joint venture is to establish and promote the VIP and Hospitality market in Asia, especially in Japan.

The combination of a management team highly experienced in the hospitality sector, their advanced technology as well as a customer-centric approach, makes DAIMANI the market leader in its niche. VIP tickets for events such as the Rugby World Cup 2023 are exclusively sold on DAIMANI’s platform. In total, tickets to more than 700 events are currently offered on the DAIMANI platform.

PIA Corporation, founded in 1972, engages in the provision of entertainment services. Its business includes the sale of music items as well as sports, movies and event tickets; publishing; website management, planning, production, and operation of concerts and events.

Proventis Partners acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of DAIMANI and supported the client throughout the entire funding round. In addition to the implementation of a structured funding process, the services included the preparation of marketing and transaction documents, identification and approach of potential investors as well as coordination of the due diligence and support during the entire negotiation process.
