CTIS: China’s leading Consumer Tech Show to host the swisstech Pavilion

From June 9 - 11, 2021, 18 Swiss startups will exhibit and pitch their innovation at the premier Consumer Technology & Innovation Show (CTIS), a leading consumer tech and innovation expo with over 80,000 visitors and more than 3,000 exhibiting booths. 

CTIS is a leading consumer tech and innovation expo aiming to become a globally influential technology platform for companies in China and around the world. Organised by Global Sources and supported by Blackstone Group, CTIS integrates consumer technology, innovation and trade to drive industrial innovation and development, and offers leading and young companies a platform to showcase their cutting-edge technology. The fair also seeks to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, promote trade exchange and allow participants to market their newest products, explore the latest electronics and technology as well as establish business connections.

The expo will host more than 80,000 visitors, 3000 booths and offers a rich program that includes speeches from 130+ speakers, themed summits, industry forums, featured activities and the Best of CTIS award. 

Alongside some of the leading companies such as Tencent Cloud, Baidu Cloud, HTC, Netease, Volkswagen – Mobvoi, Ayla, Temi robot, the event will host numerous startups. Switzerland is launching a new swisstech China series to highlight its leading position as a global innovation hub and to promote the visibility of Swiss startups across China’s hottest tech events. Under the umbrella of Swiss Pavilion, 18 Swiss startups from diverse fields will join the CTIS 2021 physically and virtually.

The Swiss startup team will participate in the Global Startup Launchpad Demo Day on June 9, to win the Best of CTIS Innovation Awards. The 18 participating startups will pitch their solutions at an exclusive online swisstech pitchinar, to form partnerships and facilitate their market entry ambitions in the world’s fastest-growing innovation ecosystem.

Due to restricted international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, only five startups will be joining the pavilion physically at CTIS 2021: Flyability, Fixposition, holo|one, ScanTrust, and STOR-H Technologies; «gotthard», the driverless electric racing car from the family of world record-breaking EVs, built by the ETH Zurich AMZ Formula Student team, will also be showcased at the swisstech pavilion. 13 startups will participate virtually. 

The swisstech China series is organized by Swissnex in China in partnership with ETH Zürich, EPFL, Innovaud, Greater Zurich Area, Switzerland Innovation, and the swisstech campaign partners Presence Switzerland, Switzerland Global Enterprise, Innosuisse, digitalswitzerland and Swissnex. Upcoming events are Tech-G Shanghai International Consumer Electronics Show from October 14 - 16, and at China Hi-Tech Fair from November 17 - 21 in Shenzhen.
